William George "Bill" Pauly Jr., cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 78 on February 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Houston, TX. He came to the world, a Christmas gift to his family, on December 25, 1946, in San Pedro, CA.
Born to proud Filipino parents, he was the youngest of three siblings. Bill’s genuine smile and warm heart were apparent from his earliest days. After graduating from Dominguez High School, Bill’s dedication to learning led him to CSU Long Beach, where he earned his degree in Industrial Engineering, laying the foundation for an extraordinary career. He then took his adventurous spirit and sense of duty and enlisted in the US Air Force, where he served his country and navigated the skies as a pilot for over six years.
In the early 80s, Bill brought his radiant personality to Houston, TX, where he flourished for nearly four decades as a Transcontinental Relocation Specialist. His work allowed him to explore the world, collecting stories and experiences that he loved sharing with his family and friends.
At home, Bill was the cornerstone of his family's happiness. His deep love for his wife Karen was evident in every gesture, from their dancing together to their shared adventures. As a father, he shared his passion for life and many interests with William George III and Stacey. His role as father-in-law to Anita was embraced with the same warmth and dedication, and as "Grandpa Bill" to William George IV and Mark, he created magical moments that will forever live in their hearts.
Bill's zest for life shone through in everything he did – whether he was tinkering with cars, challenging friends to a competitive game of racquetball, cycling through neighborhood streets, or dancing to his beloved Motown and R&B music. His signature laugh could fill any room with joy, and his smile had the power to brighten even the darkest day. He approached every aspect of life with enthusiasm and love, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Those wishing to celebrate Bill's extraordinary life are invited to join his family for a memorial service on February 22, 2025, at 2PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, where we will honor the man who taught us all how to live life to its fullest and love without reservation.
