Mr. William Gene Penn

William Gene Penn was born October 12, 1946, in Schulenburg, Tx. to Gladys Oliver Thomas and Hilmer (Forty) Penn. He attended Booker T. Washington high school in Houston, Tx. After high school he went to the Marine Corp. After years in the marines, he later retired.

William was a very hard-working man. He was a Jack-of-All-Trades. Anything a person needed done, he was there to fix, build or remodel it. He was great at what he did and took great pride in his work. To all that knew him, knew he was one of a kind. Great friend, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. William Gene Penn was an awesome man and will be deeply missed.

William was preceded in death by his parents: Gladys Oliver Thomas and Hilmer Penn, daughter: Elisha Penn, brothers: Alfred E Edwards, Henry Adams, Edward E Penn, Arthur G Penn and sisters: Annie Allen, Shirley J Penn, Evelyn Cassell

Left to cherish his memories his five children and two stepchildren, Monique Penn, Christopher Penn, Cleo Penn, Dawn Penn, Sharonia Penn, Precious Moore and Sarah Matthews. William is also survived by five sisters, Judy Thomas, Dorothye D Sneed, Linda Penn, Martha R. Miller, Joyce M. Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and friends.
