To the family of William Schmidt, I'm so sorry to read about your loss.  My condolences go out to each and every one of you.  May the “God of all comfort” console you during this difficult time.  Also, may his promises found in his word be a source of hope and comfort to you as well.

I believe that this is the Bill Schmidt that I knew in Houston in the early 70's...husband of Kay, pilot for Tenneco Oil Co. My first husband and I were a very young couple living in Houston, and Bill and Kay were our upstairs neighbors in the apt. complex.  We became very good friends, eating together, lounging at the pool, 
(Bill always called me the girl in the orange bikini!).  We kept in touch after their move to The Woodlands and ours to Temple.  In fact, we exchanged Christmas cards until just a few years ago.  I will alway remember Bill as a wonderful man...he and Kay were mentors to us, and we shared many happy times together.  I pray his last years were peaceful.  I would be interested to know if this is the Bill that I knew, as Bill Schmidt is a rather common name.

Such a wonderful, kind and loving man with a heart as big as the sky.  Bill had a love of aviation, and up until the day he passed away would share his stories of the many years he flew corporate aircraft - a passion that never dimmed. 
He has finally rejoined his beloved wife, and together they will enjoy all eternity.  God Speed our friend!
