William Marques Shepherd, Jr. was born May 19, 1939, in Houston, to Nellie B. Norman and William Marques Shepherd. Marques passed peacefully on August 19. He is predeceased by his parents and his sisters, Patricia Wells and Alice Shepherd, and is survived by his wife, Prudence Katherine Whiteley, children, William, Mary, and Michael, and grandchildren, Nicholas, Madeleine, Isabella, Aidan, Mary Kate, and Adlyn.
Marques was adamant about one thing as he was going through his final journey, and that was the amazing treatment he received from the people at MD Anderson. He expressed many times his desire that we support them however we could. To honor his wishes, in lieu of flowers, we ask that you please make donations to MD Anderson or the affiliated charity of your choice.
