Willie Potts

Mr. Willie Potts began his life journey on March 21, 1940 entering the world in Houston, Texas to Maryland and Callie Potts. He sincerely loved the Lord and accepted Him in his life at an early age. Brother Potts attended the Houston Independent School District where he graduated from Kashmere High School. He then attended Houston Community College where he received his certification in heating and air conditioning repair. He was married and from this marriage came his four beloved children, Patrick, Eric, Mark, and Erin Potts. In 2011 he was united in holy matrimony to Ruth Brown (Sister Potts). During his lifetime Brother Potts worked for Hughes Tools, Metropolitan Transit Authority, the United States Post Office, and the City of Houston. On Wednesday, November 15, 2017, in the early morning, Brother Potts departed this life in peace surrounded by his wife. His life of sweet memories will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. Brother Potts was preceded in death by his mother Callie Potts; father Maryland Potts; brothers Harry & Cecil Potts and several of his sisters Ruth Rayson, Rose Lincoln, TC Alexander, Florence Baxter, Florine Dials, and Helen Uval. He leaves to cherish his memory his faithful and dedicated wife, Ruth Potts; three children Eric Potts, Mark Potts, and Erin Potts Joseph; a step son Roderick Crawford; two daughters-in-law Kellie Potts and Paulette Potts; ten grandchildren Sarah Potts, Mark Potts Jr, Eboni Taylor, Christopher Joseph II, and Taylor Joseph, Clyde Lee Jr., Kaleb Crawford, Ryland Chavis, Khortlyn Cole, and Darryl Cole Jr; two great grandchildren Henry Benton and Collin Benton; a sister Elsie Charles; a niece Elaine Ogunleye all of Houston Texas; and the entire Green Meadows Church Family.
