Willie Tubbs

Willie was born to LC and Fredonia Tubbs on December 25th, 1940, in Augusta, Texas. He graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in Los Angeles, California in 1958. He raised one child.

He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Arceneaux (Dane Jr); grandchildren, Mya and Dillon Arceneaux. Siblings, Alice Faye Tubbs (Sam), Glory Brown (Rudolph), Doris Tubbs, Patricia Tubbs, Byron Leggett, Langston Tubbs. He also leaves to cherish his memory, nephews Lewis Tubbs, Laimont Tubbs Sr., Justin Brown, Langston Jr. and Byron Jr; nieces Angela Jackson (Johnny), Demecia Alexander (Barry), Splendora Tubbs, and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father LC Tubbs, mother Fredonia Tubbs, and brother Lewis (Bill) Tubbs.

Willie worked as a Process Operator and Mechanic for Shell Oil Company for 25 years. He enjoyed traveling at a young age, dancing, and having a good time with family and friends.

A visitation for Willie is scheduled for Saturday May 27th at 10:00 am. The funeral service will occur at 12:30 pm. Both visitation and funeral service will occur at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas. The burial will be located at Houston Memorial Gardens at 3:00pm. A reception will immediately follow the burial at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home reception hall. Pastor Derek Campbell will officiate the ceremony. The family requests that donations be made to Elizabeth Arceneaux on behalf of her father. The family would also like to thank The Avenues of Fort Bend for taking great care for Mr. Willie over the past few years.
