Wilma Marie Pfeffer Wahl

She was a long time member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She and her family moved to Houston when she was five years old, where she spent the remainder of her childhood. Wilma graduated from Reagan High School in 1937. Following several years working at the Federal Reserve Bank, she married Clifford E. Wahl on June 3, 1944. After Clifford’s service in WWII they lived in Fond du Lac, Wis, and then moved to Houston in 1953. She worked for several years as a bookkeeper for St. Mark Lutheran School, and then as a homemaker and great mother to her children.

Wilma is predeceased by her husband of nearly 54 years Clifford Wahl; brother Floyd Pfeffer and wife Helen; brother-in-law Carlton Wahl and wife June; and sister-in-law Avis Miller.

Mrs. Wahl is survived by her son Ronald Wahl and wife Ronna Swift; daughter Kerry Siegert and husband Ken; granddaughter Katharine Wahl and husband Blair Essy; grandson Christoph Wahl and wife Lee Snodgrass; grandson Benjamin Siegert; and step-grandchildren Jeromie Reed and Layla Seales.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Rd. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, March 7, 2013 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1515 Hillendahl with Pastor Timothy Duerr officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories. For those desiring, the family request memorial contributions be made to the St. Mark Lutheran School Endowment Fund.
