She met Daniel DiRosa, an American citizen, through a family member. They shared a romantic courtship by writing to each other for one year. They were married in Italy and came to the United States, where mom became an American citizen. Her new life in the United States with her husband and 3 daughters was filled with happiness and joy, although she missed her family terribly. Her love, generosity, and determination lead her to assist her family to become U.S citizens. Throughout the years, she was a giving, loving wife, mother and homemaker. She also owned several businesses, and raised many beautiful children as a babysitter.
Mom is survived by her 3 daughters – Terri DiRosa, Diana Hunter and Marisa Stowers, her son-in-laws Jeff Hunter and Mike Stowers, and her 2 lovely grandchildren, Victoria and Nina Stowers.
Mom was beloved by her family and friends. She was an integral part of her entire extended family and her tremendous love for family was felt by all. She loved everyone she met and was always kind and giving to all. Her light shined brightly on everyone she befriended. In particular, her love for children was immense.
She was a devout Catholic and her prayers were a daily ritual for her. She prayed for everyone she knew who needed Gods love and care. She offered help to anyone she could assist.
Mom has joined the other angels in Heaven now, including her beloved husband of 59 years, Daniel, her loving sisters Enza and Tina, and her beloved brother Ciro. Although we no longer have her beautiful presence with us, it comforts us tremendously to know that she has joined the family she adored that have gone before her. May she and all the rest of our extended family who have left us over the decades Rest in Peace.
