Albert, the youngest of seven children, was born to Joe and Martha (Cope) Mullican in Warren County, Tennessee on December 16, 1921. When Albert was five years old the family moved to Huntsville to work in Dallas Mills. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego when the bombing of Pearl Harbor occurred. Albert received extensive training in electronics during his service with the Marines as he “never turned down a training school.” Some of his most memorable duty stations include Hawaii, Cherry Point NC, Jacksonville FL, Millington TN, and Japan. After retiring from the Marines in 1965,
Albert went to work as a radar technician for the Federal Aviation Administration. In 1979 Albert retired again and joined his wife JoAnn (deceased) in operating their ceramics shop “The Clay Pitt.” Albert and JoAnn loved their family, traveling, and drinking coffee with friends.
Albert is predeceased by his parents, all six siblings, and his wife of 51 years, JoAnn Clay Mullican. He is survived by his six children: Zehron (Herbert) Martin, Deborah (Ray) Powell, Joal (Peggy) Mullican, Kevin Mullican, Sandra (Walter) Turner, and Joe (Katreena) Mullican; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grand children.
