ALLAN RAY FRANCIS March 29, 1942 – May 25, 2016 Mr. Allan R. Francis, 74, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Floyd E. “Tut” Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville. Mr. Francis was preceded in death by his parents, A. B. and Katherine Tolle Francis. Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Donald G. Francis (Shirley) of Huntsville; and his sister, Anita Batey (Bobby) of Scottsboro; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Allan was a graduate of Butler High School in Huntsville and received his college education at The University of Alabama. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy for 5 years. Allan was a Business Manager for most of his career in Birmingham, AL. His likes included music, computers, travel, church and singing. He was a faithful member of Covenant Community Church in Birmingham, where he sang bass in the choir. He also sang in several community choruses in the Birmingham area including the Birmingham Men’s Chorale. Mr. Allan Francis was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him! Inurnment for Mr. Francis will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Chapel Of Peace Mausoleum at Valhalla Memory Gardens.A memorial service honoring Allan’s life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Covenant Community Church in Birmingham, AL, with Rev.
