Amanda was born on March 12,1990 in Detroit, Michigan to Tricia Grills and James Henshaw. She lived in Huntsville, Alabama and was formerly from Shelby Township, Michigan
Amanda had an eye for the unique and the handmade. She found joy in crafting her own dream catchers-each one a reflection of her whimsical style and love for beauty in all forms. Tie-dyeing was more than a hobby; it was one of the many ways she expressed her colorful spirit. Never one to follow a crowd, Amanda was always on the hunt for one of-a-kind clothing pieces, often buying and selling items that carried stories of their own. Her style was unmistakable and unapologetically her own- anchored always by her signature combat boots, which she wore with pride no matter the occasion.
She found comfort in the warmth of a good cooking show, often watching for hours and sharing her favorite recipes and moments with friends and family. These simple joys gave her peace and fueled the sense of wonder that defined her life.
More than anything, Amanada cherished her role as an Aunt to her nephews Jackson and Hudson. She brought joy, fun and love to her nephews life, creating memories full of laughter.
Amanda Rae Henshaw lived on her own terms-boldly, colorfully, and authentically. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her loving mother Tricia Lee Grills and her father James Henshaw; her brother and best friend Zachary (Riley) Henshaw, her nephews Jackson and Hudson; grandmother Patricia Grills and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Amanda's life will be held at a later date.
