Andrew Kish Jr.

Andy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Senior Airman before his honorable discharge. While serving, he met the love of his life, Victoria J. Horton. The two were married in 1981 and shared many wonderful years together until her passing in 2004.

Following his military service, Andy dedicated his career to civil service and engineering, later retiring from Adtran, Inc. after 25 years of service. He was a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos and the University of Alabama, and he enjoyed competition shooting. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Victoria J. Kish; his father, Andrew Kish Sr.; and his mother, Lois Price.

Andy is survived by his sister, Robin Shempert; his daughters, Shannon McElroy (Geoff), Brittany King (Jason), and Andrea Kish; his grandchildren, Jozlynn, Wesley, Elina, Ellington, Camryn, and John Andrew (expected November 2025); and his nephew, Michael Shempert (Jessica).

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Road Northeast, Huntsville, Alabama. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with interment immediately after at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

Andy will be remembered for his dedication to family, his service to his country, and his unwavering love for those closest to him.
