During her early years she spent a lot of time with her Polish grandparents, Mary and Karol Ustryzski, and carried on the traditional Polish dishes.
Anita graduated from Bartlesville College High in 1956. She met William on a blind date; he was stationed at the local Air Force Base. They married in 1958 and moved to his hometown of Huntsville. Anita retired from the State of Alabama where she was the executive secretary to the director of Pensions & Securities. She was known for her collection of antiques and enjoyed researching items and shopping with girlfriends whom also shared her passion.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Penney, of Huntsville; Mother Helen Resnick Jay, father Paul Jay, step mother Jesse Jay, step brothers Wallace May, and Bob Robinson all of Bartlesville, Ok. and special friend Mike Vaccaro of Huntsville.
Anita is survived by daughter Angela Penney Dilworth (Penn Dilworth) of Huntsville, step sister Eunita Fay Maples of Bartlesville, OK and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service, with Father Joe Lubarno, will be Tuesday, August 3rd at 11:30am at Valhalla Memory Gardens at the Garden of the Good Shepherd. Reception immediately following (inside) at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Huntsville, AL 35811.
