

Bettye Parton Williams, 84, passed away peacefully at Crestwood Medical Center on Wednesday with her loving daughter by her side. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, Sim Beasley and Ella Christine Robertson Parton; her loving husband of close to 55 years, Ruben “Red” Harvey Williams; and her younger brother, Bobby Parton.
Left to cherish her precious memory is her daughter, Mary W. Chambers; brother, Ben F. Parton, Sr. (Sylvia) of Navarre Beach, FL; 2 grandchildren, Justin Chambers (Lindsay) of Beaufort, SC and Kerry Coker (David) of Alexandria, VA; and 2 great grandchildren, Madison Elizabeth and Clayton Andrew.
Bettye enjoyed reading devotions, walking and being nutritionally conscious, and mostly loved serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a long time faithful member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and also a proud supporter of the men and women, active duty and veterans alike, serving in the U.S. Military. She was a great friend to all and was dearly loved; she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her!
You may visit with the family at Valhalla Funeral Home on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 1:00PM until 3:00PM. There will be a funeral service conducted by Pastor Mark Williams commencing at 3:00PM in Valhalla’s Chapel. The interment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Garden’s Masonic Section.
