Dana & Beth,
You Father was a very special friend to me and my family. We met in League City, TX when we worked for Boeing on Space Station. He and your mother practiced being grand-parents with our daughter while we were there. Our paths crossed again a few years later in Huntsville. A great man he was, willing to help anyone.

I will miss him so so very much.

Your father was one of the first people to greet me when I moved into the neighborhood. I always enjoyed chatting with him. I am so glad I saw him last week walking his beloved dog. We chatted for a moment as usual. Mr. Smitherman was such a nice man. I will miss him as my neighbor.

Dana and Beth,
I’m so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was my first Boss at Boeing when I started work there in 1982. I always thought so much of him. He was always so good to me and taught me so much. You’ll be in my prayers.
