Bobby Jean Boyd age 77 was born September 28, 1943 in Paint Rock, Alabama. The Lord called him home Friday May 21, 2021 in Guntersville, Alabama, surrounded by his loving family. Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963-1966. Afterward, he worked diligently and expertly until retiring from Huntsville Hospital in 2002. His retirement was spent with his devoted wife of nearly 25 years and his four cats at "The Bunkhouse," fishing from sunrise to sunset at the lake in Guntersville, and enjoying Wednesday morning breakfasts at Hardee's with his brothers and his closest friends.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Terry Anne Boyd; two daughters, Dana Boyd Morgan (Jim) and Patricia Lynn Wood (Rob); step-daughter, Elizabeth Frye Zinter (Shawn); step-son, Robert William Frye III (Orla); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles William Boyd Jr. and Jerry Wayne Boyd; and his four "fur babies," Felix, Jax, Roxie, and Max. He is predeceased by his father, Charles William Boyd Sr., and his mother, Laura Beatrice Boyd.
Bobby was a man of knowledge, sociability, and kindness. He learned all that there was available to know -- quickly and efficiently, mastering the experiences -- and he was always readily available to teach, to mentor. Bobby's inquisitiveness was born of an open mind and a heart for adaptability and acceptance.
He loved to fix. He loved to help. He loved his barbecue and his "special sauce." But above all else, he loved God, his country, and his family. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valhallafunerals.com for the Boyd family.
Matthew 4:19
He said to them, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men."
