Mr. Howell is survived by an ex-wife, Marukel, two children: George Howell, Christina Lindsey. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Hillary Thurston, Alex Howell, Christa Howell, Skyler Howell, Jackson Lindsey, Wyatt Lindsey, and Jameson Lindsey.
Charles’ found gratification serving the Army and served at the earliest notice and ended with the rank of Master Sergeant. He earned his diplomas at the Missile and Ammunition School at Redstone Arsenal in Ammunition Maintenance with Honors in 1972 and would later receive Honors in Ammunition Non-Commissioned Officer Basics in 1973. He would receive multiple letters of appreciation for guarding Fort Clayton in 1972, his duties in the Munitions Branch from 1978 to 1979, serving in the 50th, 49th, and 20th Ordinance Company from 1980-1985. He continued to serve the Army until 1990.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be Saturday January 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
