Cherise Rhodes Cutten, age 57, of Huntsville, Alabama went to gain her Angel Wings on February 17, 2021. Cheri was preceded by her parents Roy and Alice Rhodes and father-in-law Harold J Cutten. Cheri is survived by her husband David, sons Stephen and Timothy Cutten of Huntsville and Robin Cutten of Portland, OR, one granddaughter, Cadence Opel Cutten of Portland, OR, along with her sister Alicia (Tommy) McDaniel of Madison, AL, brothers Roy (Mary) Rhodes of Florala, AL and Davis (Elise) Rhodes of Chickasaw, AL and mother-in-law Dianne Cutten of Huntsville. Cheri gave a lifetime serving the Lord, being a Wife and Mother, and giving to others. She was born February 14, 1964 in Enterprise, AL and graduated from the University of South Alabama in Nursing and became a RN. She met David while in the Mobile area and they married in 1988. Cheri and David moved to Huntsville in 1990 and raised their family there. She was a loyal member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and so loved her church family. She also loved being a Mother to her boys and dogs and she loved being a Nurse. She had a tremendous heart for serving others and she left this life in this service. Cheri touched and blessed so many people in her time here and she will be missed every day. She loved to travel with David and visit many exciting places. One of her favorite places in the world was Florala at the family lakehouse on Lake Jackson. She spent many visits there enjoying her family and the Lake. Later this year, Cheri’s ashes will be spread on Lake Jackson where she wanted to be at home. The memorial Service will be Saturday, February 27th at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at 11am and Services will be at 12pm.

It has been a week today that we celebrated your life. You would have loved all the pink and purple, the colors you loved. The words spoken were memories of the kindness and love you spread without being recognized and the effect it had on many lives. Remembering all the times you were there for me. I hope I thanked you enough. Your faith was so strong and know God has rewarded you for that. I will miss your caring of all our family, your ideas and thoughts even though sometimes I didn't understand them. I know your conversations will keep your fellow angels on their toes. I will miss you. Fly high angel Cheri! Love Mom C

Cerrie was so great with my parents. She helped take care of my dad (Frank Watson) in his last couple of months of his life ,and was always there to help my mom(Mignon Watson) when ever mom needed her. Cerrie was an angel on earth and will be missed. RIP

While I only met Cheri once, Dave talked of her often in his time working in Florida. I know how much she is loved and will be missed. My heartfelt sympathies and my prayers.

Our connection was with the Scouting program. Cheri was always available and was a willing participant in helping with anything that came up. Nursing seemed a natural selection when she went to South Alabama. Both a social and family friend that will be missed..

Thanks for being there and your service to others.

Alot of great memories of us two being sisters-in-law...being at family functions etc. You helped alot with Mike being sick and I have noticed how you checked up on me..loved you for that. You were my first southern sister and when I told you that once you just smiled and said nothing..I understood. Say hi to Mike and our father in law for me..have missed you before and always will!
