Chester always made us children from the Harris Home for Children feel like family. I love that deep voice he had that got your attention when he spoke. He was a man of stories. Always had great stories to tell and a realist to boot! I have never seen him angry in all the years I knew him. That smile was a Colgate smile. I am sorry for all of our loss. He was a very pleasant brother to have known.

Chester Harris was an amazing man who always had a big smile and a hug for everyone he met.  Huntsville has lost a wonderful man who did so much to help those in need.  He will be greatly missed.

In heartfelt sympathy to the Harris Family. I have fond memories of Chester coming to the office of Harris Home for Children on Oakwood Road. His laughter was contagious.  I am so blessed to have known him, Mama Harris, and as I called him, Pop Harris, Marilyn, George Jr and Joan. To Carrie and the girls, my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless and keep you.

My condolences is given to the entire Harris family.  It is my sincere prayer that the sweet memories will help ease some of your pain.  Mr. Harris was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

A brother quickly taken, there was no time to say good-bye.  We find comfort in our last Hello and Salutation, in honoring our God on high.  "Happy Sabbath my big brother, good to see you at church today.  May God richly bless you, now and always". "I love you little sister and brother" Chester said.
