

CHONG SUK POTTS January 5, 1947 – June 15, 2016 Chong Suk Potts, 69, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Left to cherish her precious memory is her loving husband of 44 years, Byron Ray Potts; her daughter, Chong Michele Potts, and fiancé Rick Spray; her son, Samuel Ray Potts; 3 grandchildren, Rainy, Andre Ray, and Alyssa Rae; brother in law, Carroll Potts (Cassie) of Pasadena, TX; sister in law JoAnne Reid (Glen) of Brownfield, TX; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends, including her beloved church family. Chong loved life and was very strong in her Christian faith, as well as extremely committed to her church- Korean First Baptist Church. She liked gardening and caring for plants, which were numerous around the Potts household. She loved doting on her grandchildren and spoiling her husband and family. Chong was definitely the cornerstone of the Potts family and the “Greatest Mom Ever”. She was also one of the principle members of her church. Chong Suk Potts was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her! You may visit with the family at Korean First Baptist Church on Hood Road on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. There will be a funeral service commencing at 1:00 PM with Dr. Dong Keun Lee and Dr. Hyunah Kang officiating. A private interment will be held in Valhalla Memory Garden’s Gethsemane section.
