DORIS JEAN CANNON June 10, 1946 – August 9, 2016 Jean Cannon, 70, passed away at Huntsville Hospital on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Mrs. Cannon is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Jerry Cannon; her parents, John and Minnie Conway Lindsey; one brother, William Lindsey; two sisters, Bonnie Grimes and Faye Williams. Left to cherish her precious memory is her daughter, Brenda McKenzie (Ricky); one brother, Herbert Lindsey (Berta) of Fayetteville, TN; three adopted daughters; two adopted grandchildren; two grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends. Jean was a very caring and loving individual and a long time faithful member of the Church of Christ. Jean loved her Lord and her family and had a sweet winsome Christian spirit. She would do anything for others, even if it meant doing without herself. Just like her mother, she babysat and raised numerous children. Jean loved visiting shut-ins and local nursing homes. Jean Cannon was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her! You may visit with the family Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Valhalla Funeral Home from 1:00 to 3:00pm. A funeral service conducted by Bro. Bill Cantrell, will commence at 3:00pm in Valhalla’s Chapel. The interment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
