She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, W.E. “Gene” Lusk; and daughter, Jan Lusk.
Dimple was born in Marshall County, Alabama and attended Jacksonville State University and Athens College,
graduating with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. Dimple taught at Blossomwood and Whitesburg Elementary Schools
during her 30 years of teaching. She and her family were avid UAH basketball and softball team supporters.
She was a long-time member of St. Paul Methodist Church. Dimple is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Frank) Leon;
grandchildren, Matt (Becca) Leon and Adele Leon; brother, Elmos Hendrix and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 – 12 noon, Wednesday, June 24th at Valhalla Funeral Home, with the funeral service at noon in the chapel.
Entombment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UAH Basketball and Softball teams or
St. Paul United Methodist Church.
