Dorothy "Dot" Gilliam, age 91, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Dot was preceded in death by her husband John S. Gilliam, parents Ruby and John Powell, and son-in-law Phillip Parker.
Dot was a loving mother and grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her son Nicky (Sherry) Gilliam, daughter Sandy Parker, grandchildren, Staci (Michael) Radden, Ashlie Hathaway, Natalie Gilliam, Cody (Heather) Gilliam, Darcy Renshaw, Jason Parker, 13 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
A visitation for Dot will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home (Huntsville), 698 Winchester Road NE, Huntsville, AL 35811, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm in Valhalla's Celebration Chapel with Rev. Cody Gilliam officiating. Mrs. Gilliam will be laid to rest next to her husband in Valhalla Memory Gardens immediately following services.
