Eldon Blaine Shannon

Eldon Blaine Shannon, 53 of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on May 28,2025 after a short illness at Highpoint Health in Gallatin. Blaine was born in Huntsville, Alabama on July 12, 1971 to mother; Deborah Rosetta Carter Hall, father; Eldon Eugene Shannon who both precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by his grandfather; John Carter, grandmother; Thelma Carter, and grandmother; Ruby Pruitte.

Blaine is survived by his brother; Chass Shannon (Ashley), sister; Amy Shannon, nieces; Kayla and Katlynn Shannon and Carlee Crouch, nephew; Connor Shannon, all of Huntsville, Alabama, grandfather; Robert Pruitte of Franklin, Tennessee, aunt; Regina Armstrong of Tampa, Florida, cousins; Veronica Ervin (David) of Lavergne, Tennessee, Yvette Anderson (Jerry) of Smyrna, Tennessee and dearest friends; Tim Perdue of Gallatin, Tennessee, and Christie Sprinkles (Kevin) of Hartsville, Tennessee.

Blaine was a 1989 graduate of Hazel Green High School in Hazel Green, Alabama. He worked for a short time as an IT specialist before a horrible vehicle accident confined him to a wheelchair and left him with a traumatic brain injury in 1994.

Blaine was a massive Alabama Football fan with tons of memorabilia. He loved all kinds of music, television, being outside in the sun and computers. He loved playing the lottery, no matter whether he won or lost. He had a good sense of humor and would give you the shirt off of his back if he liked you and you needed it. He often donated to charities especially the Red Cross and to victims of tornadoes. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Blaine will have a Graveside Service at Valhalla Funeral Home and Memory Gardens in Huntsville, Alabama on Sunday June, 7, 2025 at 3:00 pm in our Chapel Gardens officiated by Bobby Burt.
