Elton L. “BeBe” Bice, age 84, peacefully entered into his eternal rest on Friday, October 5, 2018 at his home in Huntsville, Alabama.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Valhalla Funeral Home, with BeBe’s son, Rev. Rodney Bice of Bardwell Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. The Bice family will receive friends from 12 noon until the hour of service on Tuesday.
BeBe, as he was affectionately known, was born on August 26, 1934 in Coosa County, Alabama to James C. Bice and Mildred Fergurson Bice. His greatest love, second to the Lord, was his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. BeBe was a member of Highlands Baptist Church where he was a faithful servant, passionately carrying out the duties of a deacon. He enjoyed quail hunting, gardening and restoring a 1946 Chevrolet truck.
Being a man of many talents and interests, BeBe was a graduate of Weogufka High School; a cafeteria manager at Athens State College; a salesman at Robert Orr Food Service; a retired sales representative of Halsey Food Service and also a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, BeBe was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and Frank Bice.
To continue his legacy and cherish precious memories, he leaves his wife of 63 years, Voncile “Bonnie” Bice of Huntsville, AL; sons, Bruce Bice (Donna), Randy Bice (Lynn) both of Meridianville, AL, David Bice (Amanda) of Toney, AL and Rev. Rodney Bice (Pamela) of Bardwell, KY; sisters, Audrey Iovino and Jan Jennings (Jerry) both of Stewartville, AL; brother, Tim Bice (Linda) of Sylacauga, AL; 12 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
