Faye Krisher

Molly “Faye” Krisher, age 85, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of Sunday, January 30, 2022. Faye was born November 9, 1936 in New Hope, Alabama. Faye was a graduate of New Hope High School in the year of 1955.

Faye began her career with US Government as a General Secretary (GS2), and following several promotions, retired as a Budget Analyst (GS12). Anyone with the honor of having worked with her will say she was a joy to work with, and an exemplary employee. Faye was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Alabama. She made routine donations to the church, local schools, and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Faye loved spending time with her family & friends. Her most loved hobbies were traveling to the beach, shopping, and always challenging her mind to a good puzzle. Her family was her entire world. She worked hard to provide for her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grand children. She enjoyed taking them shopping, out to eat, and on vacation with her. She enjoyed spending time with her “Lunch Bunch” & other friends doing activities such as attending shows & performances at the VBC, strolling through the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, and watching sports, especially Alabama Football & golf. Faye was preceded in death by her mother & father, Catherine & Clinton Ikard and her brother, Wayne Ikard.

Faye is survived by her only daughter, Lisa (Joel) Moore of Huntsville; her sister-in-law Bobbie Ikard of Huntsville; her niece, Angie Seymour of Huntsville; her four grandchildren, Ashley (Alexander) Padgett of New Market, Kelsey (Dylan) Beauvais of Huntsville, Taylor (Allison) Moore of Pontotoc, Mississippi, and Gabriel (Lauren) Moore of Hubert, North Carolina; her seven great-grandchildren Steve, Nikki, Noah, Dean and Colton Padgett, Sawyer Moore, and Greyson Moore; her wonderful live-in caregiver Dorothy (Martin) Whitehead of Huntsville; her two beloved “boys” - her kitty cats Boomer & Squeaky; and so many other people she called family & friends.

Services honoring Faye will be Friday, February 4, 2022 at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama. The family will begin receiving friends at 2:00 PM in the visitation hall, with the celebration of life service following at 3:00 PM in the chapel, to be officiated by Dr. Robert A. White, Jr, pastor of Locust Grove Baptist Church in New Market, Alabama. Following the celebration of life service, family will gather privately graveside as Faye is laid to rest.
