A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Valhalla Funeral Home with Dr. Edwin Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday.
Mrs. Chovan was born on May 15, 1928 in Tracy City, Tennessee to James B. McKnight and Flora Short McKnight. She was an avid painter and enjoyed bowling, line dancing, boating and traveling. Her greatest love was first the Lord, then her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Sherman and William Chovan; and daughters, April Renee Sherman and Nancy Hatchett.
Mrs. Chovan leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Paul Morris of Huntsville, AL; daughters, Connie Miller (George) of Cowan, TN and Stephanie Bruce (Ron) of Lewisburg, TN; sons, Floyd Sherman (Rebecca) of Cowan, TN and Jeff Chovan (Becky) of Benton, KY; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
