Frederick Mark Finney, known to all who loved him as “Fred,” beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, co-worker, and friend, passed away on April 15, 2026, at the age of 64. Known for his generous heart and unwavering love for his family, Fred touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
For 35 years, Fred dedicated himself to the jewelry business, where he found genuine joy in helping customers and building lasting relationships with his co-workers. He had a natural gift for making people feel seen, valued, and cared for.
Fred was a gentle soul and an unspoken light—someone who made life feel steadier, warmer, and more alive just by being near him. His joyful presence had a way of dissolving even the heaviest moments, and his laughter brought comfort and ease to those around him. He lived from the heart in all things, whether offering thoughtful advice or simply being a listening ear.
He truly enjoyed life, especially the time he spent with his family, whom he loved deeply. His presence made even ordinary days feel like something worth holding onto.
Fred was preceded in death by his father, Willie Finney Sr.; his sister, Donna Finney; his brother-in-law, Jimmy Crowell; his niece, Diana Finney; his nephews, Christopher Finney, Michael Hulsey, and Justin Crowell; his great-niece, Reagan Peavy; and his great-nephew, Conor McCulley.
He is survived by his loyal dog, cZar; his mother, Neri Finney; his brother, Willie (Teri) Finney Jr.; his sisters, Irene Crowell, Doreese Finney, Beatrice Bragg (Chuck Stovall), and Sara (Steve) Hulsey; his nieces, Marci, Ashley, Tiffany, Brittany, Angela, Merissa, and Jillian; his nephews, Matthew, Charles, and Dakota; as well as a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, a great-great niece, aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, and friends.
Though he is no longer with us, the love Fred gave does not end—it echoes, lingers, and lives on in all of us who were fortunate enough to know him.”
