Frieda Josephine Moudy, daughter of Robert De Longe and Hannelore De Longe (deceased), was born in a small German town in December of 1963. Her family came to America for a brighter future when she was just 12 years old. They settled in Huntsville, and that courageous spirit that carried her through such a huge life-changing move never left her. She moved on to the next part of her journey on Saturday, July 22, 2023, after a decades-long battle with debilitating mental illness which she ultimately lost.
Frieda was a force, inspiring to all who knew her. In her youth, she was known as a quick-witted and sharp woman who was not afraid to speak her mind. Later in life, she worked for the federal government as a budget analyst and received her bachelor's degree in Business right here in Huntsville.
Frieda was an artistic person who loved creating things with her hands. She loved decorating and fashion, but was also known to create the occasional stunning work of art. With her wit and creative flair, there was nothing she could not accomplish when she set her mind to it. Frieda was a devoted mother, a loving sister, and a loyal friend. She was a steadfast person who loved to spread joy to the people who were closest to her. Her love for her family was unparalleled.
Frieda will be remembered by her daughter Holly Moudy; sister Annette De Longe and niece Sophia De Longe; brother Michael De Longe; ex and friend Richard Moudy; as well as numerous other family members.
A celebration of life ceremony is being planned for Frieda and will be announced at a later date.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valhallafunerals.com for the Moudy family.
