George Charles Wallace

George worked for Pipefitter Local 760 for many years. After retirement he found himself spending time in the garden, whether it was trees or plants he loved to garden and watch things grow and flourish. George was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, as well as a active member of his church Westlawn Baptist Church until he was no longer able. The family would like to express their gratitude to the church for their constant support during this time.

George is preceded in death by his father, George W. Wallace; mother, Dorothy Inez Wallace; daughter, Stephanie Poore; brothers, Billy and DV Wallace; as well as 2 sisters, Dorothy Jean and JoAnn Tanner.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Carolyn Wallace of Huntsville, Alabama; son David Wallace (Amy) of Myrtle, Mississippi and daughter Cindy Bates (John) of Lucedale, Mississippi, 6 grandchildren, his beloved dog Lucy, and host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday December 6, 2023 from 12-2pm in the Chapel at Valhalla Funeral Home 698 Winchester Rd NE Huntsville AL, 35811. A celebration of life service will follow after a 2pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Immediately following service burial will take place at Faith Memorial Park 8100 Madison Blvd. Madison AL, 35758.
