Geraldine F. Davenport, 93 of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, February 28, 2020 at her home. She was born on May 8, 1926 to Tom and Sally Francis in Phelps, KY. Geraldine married her sweetheart, Charles, on December 5, 1959 in New Jersey. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Davenport.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Charla Little and Kara Davenport, both of Huntsville, AL; son-in-law, Keith Little; one grandson, Travis Little; sister-in-laws, Thelma Davenport (Hubert-deceased) of Omaha, NE, Claudette Henry (Wayne) of Ennis, TX; brother-in-law, Jim Dotson (CarolAnn-deceased) of Pikeville, KY.
Geraldine was an accomplished musician and vocalist with a radio station in the 1940’s in West Virginia. She was also an incredibly talented artist of oil paintings of landscapes, buildings, churches and schools.
You may visit with the family on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm in Valhalla’s Chapel. Entombment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens at the Chapel of Love Mausoleum.
