Kathy,

It was my honor to have known Gilbert and worked with him at Engelhard. He was a professional and I considered him a friend. I vividly remember his laughter, his lighthearted and fun personality. He made my job was much easier. I wish I could be with you and the family as you pay tribute to his memory. Gilbert may no longer be with us physically but he will always be with us in spirit - Gilbert made such a positive impression that I will always remember him.

May God the father bring peace to you each day.

Your friend,
Ron

I was so sorry to hear of Gilbert's passing. I remember him when he was in the fifth grade at Monrovia Jr. High. He, Ronald Swaim and Donald Murphy were almost inseparable. They all, like most boys their age, loved to tease girls. I was in the sixth grade and was a frequent target of their teasing! We had a combined class of 5th and 6th graders with E. T. Ferguson as our teacher. I have very fond memories of Gilbert, Ronald and Donald. I just lost my husband this past November so I have some understanding of your loss. My deepest sympathy to your family.
