

Survivors include his wife, Lena Brewer, children Beverly Ray (Mac), Renee Robinson (Johnny), Deb Turner (Mike), and Stan Brewer (Melissa).
He was a veteran of the United States Army. Later, he worked for Madison County as a mechanic. G.L. was also a farmer and loved John Deere tractors. On January 26,1979, he rode in the National Tractorcade along with over 3300 tractors from Brownsboro to Washington DC, a total of 872 miles. Agriculture enjoys a more fair representation and cooperation with Washington because of this effort. G.L. enjoyed sharing the memory of this event with everyone he met. He spent many years farming land throughout Madison County. He was a longtime member at Maysville church of Christ.
He will be missed by many friends and family.
Visitation for G.L. will be from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with funeral services following right after at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22nd, at Maysville Church of Christ with Ricky Tucker officiating. Interment service will immediately follow at Valhalla Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care. G.L.’s family would like to thank Kat Douglas and Connie Walker for the compassionate care they gave to G.L.
