Gordon William Varner, formerly of Huntsville, AL, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 in Oxford, MS
at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Alta Marie Ledbetter Varner.
Mr. Varner is survived by his three children, Cheryl Travis of Huntsville, AL, Sgt. Dennis Varner, formerly of Huntsville, AL,
Charlotte Hester (Thomas) of Tupelo, MS; grandchildren, Ryan Matthew Travis, Lauren Elizabeth Gunn (Sonny)
and Daniel Palmer Hester (Hannah).
The family will be present to receive friends on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Valhalla Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m.;
with funeral services in Valhalla Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m.
Rev. Steve Wesson is officiating. A private interment will take place in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
