Helen Faye Blackburn

September 30, 1938 – February 14, 2015

Helen Faye Blackburn, 76, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at her residence in Toney. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Myrtle Lawrence and a sister, Mary Sprayberry.

Mrs. Blackburn is survived by two sons, Keith E. (Renee) Blackburn of Fayetteville, TN, Russ (Becky) Blackburn of Toney; daughter, Cindy (T.J.) Jordan of Atlanta; brother, Richard (Debbie) Lawrence of Memphis, TN; nine grandchildren, Joshua Blackburn, Justin Blackburn, Kayla Jordan, Brandy Jordan, Coty Blackburn, Marshall Jordan, Lindsay Blackburn, Ethan Blackburn and Eli Jordan and a host of friends.

Faye loved reading and studying her Bible, working in her church and being involved at Lighthouse Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member for many years. She loved cooking, baking and working in the garden, but her favorite thing was babysitting. Most of the children in the neighborhood grew-up in the Blackburn house and yard.

You may visit with the family at Valhalla Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 2:30 p.m. There will be a funeral service conducted by Bro. Rusty Watts and Bro. Ronnie Gay, commencing at 2:30 p.m. in Valhalla’s Chapel. The Interment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
