Howard Allen Cox, 88, passed away peacefully at Huntsville Hospital on Sunday, December 19, 2021. He was born February 17, 1933, in Columbus Ohio to Howard and Clarice Cox. He retired after 35 years of government service as a Chemical Engineer working at Redstone Arsenal U.S. Missile Command, while there he worked on the Dragon, Tow, and Hellfire missile defense systems. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Huntsville. He married his wife, Annette February 5, 1966.
Howard loved traveling, stamp collecting, coin collecting, crossword puzzles and the stock market.
He leaves behind a loving wife Annette Hagwood Cox; a son, Spencer Kelly Cox (Whitney Bruce Cox); grandson Cameron Cox and granddaughter Ashleigh Cox; a brother Roger Cox; and sisters Mary Cox Simon and Caroline Cox Ratcliff. He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Cox Peck.
