James Porter White Jr.

August 10, 2026, surrounded by family.

Jamie was born on November 13, 1959, in Gadsden, AL

and raised in Huntsville. He attended Grissom High

School, graduating in 1978 before going to work for his

father at Mechanical Systems Corporation. In 1988 Jamie

and his brother opened their own mechanical contracting

company, Piping Systems Inc. He enjoyed fishing and

scuba diving in his younger years.

Jamie is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Jean

Leach and his father, James “Jim” White. He is survived by

his wife Lisa; daughter, Victoria; son, Brandon; brother,

Gary (Cindy); and three grandchildren, Oliver, Cooper and

Clara Reddick.

A graveside service will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home

on Friday, August 14th, 2026, at 3:00pm with Pastor Jeremiah Cochran to officiate.
