Jean Preston Hambric, 87, passed away at her residence on July 10, 2016. She was born June 20, 1929 and currently lived in New Market, AL. Mrs. Hambric was preceded in death by her husband, Searcy F Hambric; parents, Floyd and Ruth Preston; brother, Ores Preston; sister, Mavis Chicola; and son-in-law, Harold Tipton. Left to cherish her precious memory are her two daughters, Rhonda Tipton and Leah Franks (Wayne) both of New Market, AL. She also leaves four grandchildren, Tina Brandon (Keith) of Flintville, TN, Devin Franks of Dothan, AL, Gerald Franks of Huntsville, AL, Tina Franks of Hartselle, AL; four great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Jean was a homemaker and enjoyed shopping, spending time with family and cooking some of her favorite recipes to spoil us all. Visitation will be July 12, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home. The graveside service will commence at 12:30 p.m. at Rice Cemetery in New Market, AL, with Bro. Wade Franks officiating.
