Jeanette Campbell Burkett passed away from this life on February 1, 2019 at 87 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband of over sixty years, Eugene K. Burkett. She was also preceded in death by two of her seven children, Joann Nella Burkett and John Page Burkett.
She is survived by her five children, Elise V. Hylander, Eugene K. Burkett II, Jeanette M. Clardy, David W. Burkett and Harold I. Burkett and multiple grand and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Burkett was an avid gardener, poet and painter. She was a Red Cross volunteer at Huntsville Hospital. A Navy wife for 32 years, she traveled the country and lived 4 years in Spain. The family settled in Huntsville, AL in 1970 and she and her husband lived the remainder of their lives in Harvest, AL.
Visitation will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home on Winchester Rd, Huntsville, AL on Thursday, February 7th from 1:00pm until 2:00pm followed immediately by a Funeral Service in Valhalla's Chapel.
