Joseph Lee Catlett

Joseph Lee Catlett, age 56, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away at his residence on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Joey, as he was known by most, loved to play games, care for his pets, and help his neighbors with small chores. He liked to chat with people he knew and remind everyone when he had an upcoming birthday.

He was preceded in death by his father James Larry Catlett, brother Ronald (Beverly) Catlett, grandparents James Frank and Anna Belle Catlett, and William "Bud" and Dorothy Hornbuckle.

He is survived by his mother and step-father Judy and Rev. Roy Walls of Lacey's Spring, two sisters Julie Butler of Stevenson and Jeanne (Tracy) Shields of New Market, and three nephews.

Special recognition is given to Joey's close neighbors for their acts of generosity and kindness shown to him over the years.

A visitation for Joey will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home (Huntsville), 698 Winchester Road NE, Huntsville, AL 35811. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00 pm with Bro. Jared Shields officiating. Burial will immediately follow services at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Masonic Garden.
