

Joseph was born on November 13, 1938 to Matthew and Docia Begley Eversole in Hazard Kentucky, he was the youngest of nine brothers and sisters.
Joseph joined the Army in 1955 serving honorably for 21 years. During his prestigious Military career Joseph was awarded many awards to include; the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Civil Action Honor Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Occupation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm. After his Army retirement Joseph worked at Redstone Arsenal where he retired a second time. Joseph enjoyed walking, working in his yard and chatting with his neighbors.
Joseph met Elizabeth (Cookie) Booth and the two were married for 47 years until her death in March 2012. Together they raised three strong, handsome boys; Joseph, Donald and Steven.
In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, he is preceded in death by his son Joseph, parents and his nine siblings.
Joseph is survived by two sons; Donald Eversole and Steven Eversole, his daughter-in-law Treva (Joseph) Eversole, Grandchildren; Rachel (Ryan) Dishman, Ty Jackson Eversole, Henry Lee Eversole and Harlan Kate Eversole, and Great-Grandsons; Heath Christopher Dishman and Nolen Joseph Dishman.
Joseph and Elizabeth’s interment will be at a later date.
