JOYCE MARIE CANTRELL GREER October 15, 1933 – June 6, 2016 Marie Greer, 82, passed away peacefully at her residence Sunday evening with her loving family by her side. Ms. Greer was preceded in death by her parents, Fate and Lucille Newby Cantrell; her loving husband of close to 50 years, Aubrey T. Greer; and her brother, Bill Cantrell. Left to cherish her precious memory are her 2 daughters, Sarah Carson (Tim), and Vickie Sauer (Don); 1 son, Michael Greer, all of Huntsville; 1 sister, Dorothy Sain (Howard) of Knoxville, TN; 5 grandchildren; Sherry Sharp (Kevin), Thomas Woodbury, Matthew Sauer, Niki Sauer and Tonya Greer; 4 great grandchildren, Dustin Sharp, Rebecca Sharp, Cody Sharp and Aubrey Davenport; a host of nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends. Marie was a wonderful friend and loving Mother who believed in family values and all things beautiful. She loved to garden, cook, visit with friends and family; and later in life, work puzzles with her friends. “Grandma Marie” was instrumental in the lives of all of her grandchildren. Marie Greer was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her! You may visit with the family on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Valhalla Funeral Home from 12-1:45pm.
