Judy Iris (Schaaf) La Canne

Judy Iris (Schaaf) LaCanne, age 84, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Judy was born June 23, 1938 in Crailsheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany to Luise (Braun) Schaaf and Friedrich Schaaf. Judy is survived by her son Mark La Canne; and her son Neil La Canne; her grandson Jason La Canne (Kathryn LaCanne), her granddaughter Stevie La Canne and her great grandson Colton La Canne as well as her her nieces Anka Strebel, and Mira Grimm. Judy was preceded in death by her husband Darrel La Canne; her father Friedrich Schaaf; her mother Luise (Braun) Schaaf; and her sister Elizabeth Schaaf. Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, and a Proud Military Wife. Judy loved to work outside doing yard work she especially loved working on her rose bushes. When she wasn't outside working in the yard she enjoyed watching Old Westerns, and spending time with her family. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite times to gather everyone together and share a meal around the table. While she enjoyed the holidays and food that came with it she said that one of the greatest things ever was pizza which she loved to eat any chance she got. A visitation for Judy will be held Monday, August 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
