Kathleen "Kathy" Sinopole Heeney

Kathy was born on March 25, 1964 to John and Lucy Sinopole in Huntsville, Alabama and was the youngest of five children; Julie Chambers, Lynn Craft, Patrick Sinopole (wife Patricia Sinopole), and Cindy King (husband Ryan King).

Kathy met and married Robert Heeney Jr. in 1999 and together they had two children; Adeline and Nora Heeney. She was also a beloved aunt to several nieces, nephews, and great nieces/ nephews.

Kathy graduated high school in 1982, earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama in 1986, and further got her master's degree in science from Johns Hopkins University in 1993. Kathy spent most of her career pouring her compassion into others, working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, and tutoring students with dyslexia. Anyone who had the blessing of knowing Kathy, whether in passing or lifelong relationship, had the gift of receiving a seed of love that would later grow to produce more light in this world.

Kathy had multiple talents, being gifted in painting, music, jewelry making, and athleticism. She was an amazing friend to all, displaying encouragement, upliftment, and patience to every soul she met in this world. Being a light her whole life, she has now reached her full potential of shining brightly so that all can see.
