Katalin "Katie" Gibson, age 87, passed away quietly early Monday morning at Crestwood Hospital. Katie was a devout Catholic and was a lifelong member of Holy Spirit Parish of Huntsville, and Our Lady of the Valley, Redstone Arsenal. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Bill. Katie is survived by son; William ( Bill ) Gibson, daughters; Mary Ann Ruopp, Catalin Gibson, Patricia Gibson, Elizabeth Gibson, 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren, sister Mary Ashmore, sister-in-law: Anita Gibson, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday February 7, 2015 at 1pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Michael Mac Mahon officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday February 6th from 6pm until 8pm at the church.
