KENNETH ISAO KAWANO April 23, 1937 – February 7, 2015 Kenneth I. Kawano, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Redstone Village in Huntsville, AL. Mr. Kawano was a brilliant chemist, decorated Soldier, and loving husband and father. Kenneth Kawano was born in 1937 in Molokai, Hawaii to the late Charles and Hazel Yoshida Kawano. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lillian C. Kawano; his son, Kreiton I. Kawano; 2 sisters, Karen Koles and Carolene Neeley; and a host of other friends and relatives. Ken, a retired U. S. Army Colonel, was a proud veteran of the US Military, with close to 30 years of service, which took him and Lillian around the world. He was also the Senior Analyst of Aegis Technologies. His son, Kreiton, follows in his footsteps and is also serving as a soldier. A memorial service honoring Kenneth Kawano will be held at the Bicentennial Chapel of Redstone Arsenal, AL on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 4:00 PM.
