Linda Jean Lockhart

One of the most beautiful souls ever created by God left her earthly body for home on Monday, January 13, 2025. Linda Jean Lockhart, of Madison, Alabama, was predeceased in death by her father, mother and brother, Andrew “Jack” J. Stephens, Jr., Bobbie M. Stephens and Andrew “Andy” J. Stephens III.

Linda is survived by her most beloved husband, of not quite sixty years, Billy “Bill” Lockhart; her daughters, Deborah “Debbie” Nieberlein (Miles) and Judith “Judy” Morris (Morgan); grandchildren, William Morris (Megan), Jeremy Morris and Andrew Morris (Maggie). She also leaves behind several much loved and adored great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Although Linda lived a very quiet life after retiring as a bookkeeper, she had many talents. She enjoyed her hobbies of painting, writing, bible study and volunteering. She also took great pleasure in visiting with family and friends.

A celebration of her life service will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers and if you so choose, the family request that you make a donation to St. Jude’s Hospital, the Shriner’s Children’s Organization, Shriner’s Burn Hospital or your local Alzheimer’s Association.
