

Lois Taylor Trickey, age 72, passed away on March 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. Born on July 3, 1953, Lois was raised in a wholesome Southern home, surrounded by a large and deeply loving family that shaped the compassionate woman she became.
Lois was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the way she made everyone feel welcome. She had a remarkable gift in the kitchen and built a lifelong career spanning over 40 years in the baking industry. Whether she was crafting beautiful wedding cakes or baking sweet treats for family and friends, her creations were made with care, talent, and love—bringing joy to countless people over the years.
Above all else, Lois was devoted to her family. She is survived by her loving children, John Trickey and Teri Peper, as well as her dear sisters Jeannette Statom, Marie Dorning, Barbara Powers, Louise Hamaker, Juanita Spicer, and Sue Fair, and her brothers Frankie Taylor and Billy Taylor. She also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren, Connor Trickey, Alex Trickey, Grace Trickey, Joshua Peper, Landon Peper and Cody Peper and great grandchild Westin Peper, who were the light of her life and whom she loved more than anything in this world.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, George Earnst Taylor and Ollie Mae Taylor, and her brothers Jimmy Taylor, William Taylor, George (Buddy) Taylor, James Taylor, Joe Taylor, and Mahlon Taylor.
She will be remembered for her unwavering love, her generosity, and the comfort she brought to those around her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, in the traditions she passed down, and in every sweet memory shared around the table.

Visitation will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, AL 35811 on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00.
