LOUISE LEE STRICKLAND March 26, 1925 - July 19, 2016 Mrs. Louise Lee Strickland, age 91, of Huntsville, Alabama peacefully went to be with Jesus, James Ira Strickland, Sr., her husband of 65 years and other loved ones who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Jim Strickland (Connie) of Hoover, AL, Jerry Strickland (Mary) of Huntsville, AL and Kenneth Strickland of Huntsville, AL; her daughter, Anita Voshen (Clif) of Huntsville; grandchildren, Tim (April) Strickland, Kelly (Jon) Bridges, Beth Strickland, Suzanna (Phillip) Baxter, David Strickland and Jonathan Strickland; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, D.H. Lee (Betty) of Irmo, SC and Jesse Lee (Marie) of Barnwell, SC. Louise was born in Axson, Georgia to James Olif Lee and Delilah Tanner Lee. She traveled the world as an Air Force wife with the love of her life. She and Jim were stationed in Japan, Arizona, England, Mississippi, California and Wisconsin. For over 15 years, “Aunt Lou Lou” enjoyed helping to raise a number of children in South Huntsville in her home daycare. You may visit with the family at Valhalla Funeral Home Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 12:30 – 2:00. Funerals services conducted by Pastor David Nelson from the Rock Family Worship Center will begin at 2:00pm. Interment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
