Luciel was a native of Escambia County, Alabama. As an infant, she moved with her family to Mobile. She lived her adult life in Mobile, Jackson, Mississippi, and Huntsville, Alabama. The last 2 ½ years she lived in Huntsville, Alabama with her niece, Marianne (Barry) Johnson.
She was predeceased by her parents and siblings and is survived by nieces Marianne (Barry) Johnson and Suzanne De Loach, nephews Harold (Joe) Faircloth and Richard De Loach and a number of great and great great nieces and nephews.
Much of her life was spent in service to others. For thirty-seven years she worked for the Methodist Church Board of Missions doing community service work. Through the years her craft and handwork brought much pleasure to family and friends. Being an avid reader, she read untold numbers of novels, read daily devotionals, and was a word puzzle enthusiast. She found great joy and pleasure in the beauty of God’s glorious world. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valhallafunerals.com for the De Loach family.
